The small flowers look a lot like the wild river phlox that grows on river banks here in Ontario. There are many varieties of phlox (I have 3 different plants in my own garden) and the way the blooms open from the stem here seems to be a common characteristic.

The Northern Pitcher plant is prolific in the tundra/bog at West Quoddy State Park, in downeast Maine. Always fascinating to watch them trap their food.

The beach scene is so utterly peaceful and beautiful. Thanks, Lisa.
