I headed back up into the San Juan Mountains a couple of weeks ago, this time driving north through Chama, NM.1
The weather was cool and mostly rainy, with alternating intervals of sunlight and menacing clouds.2
I found an aspen leaf covered with raindrops …
… and couldn’t decide which view I liked best: the one that showed the shape of the leaf or the one that showed the details of both raindrops and leaf veins.
I continued across the border into Colorado and saw a spectacular vista.
Already, just a few miles north of the border, the scenery had more of that classic Rockies look than we usually see in New Mexico.
I was in New Mexico looking east when I took the first two photos; my best guess is that the scenery was New Mexican too.
Really beautiful photos, Lisa!!
Absolutely gorgeous!
