June 30: West Coast Adventures
Trinidad beach and harbor ... plus a very dedicated public servant
I took a little trip out to the west coast while the fires burned here in the southwest. My main purpose was to hike amongst the coast redwoods, and I explored a number of forests south of those I’ve visited previously.
I went to several beaches as well, including Trinidad, which I’d never seen before. I thought it was gorgeous. All that blue water! All those green trees! And sea stacks!
I’d walked only a few steps when I ran into The Seagull Vanquisher, surely Trinidad’s most dedicated and enthusiastic public servant.
I believe she must be Trinidad’s cutest public servant as well. If only every municipality had employees with the awesome work ethic of The Seagull Vanquisher, the world would be a much better place. (For dogs, anyway; maybe not so much for seagulls.)
Trinidad’s harbor is right around the corner from the beach. I think it’s one of the prettiest harbors I’ve ever seen.
It rained quite a bit while I was in northern California. When I came back to New Mexico, it rained even more — a wonderful welcome-home gift. I’d like to think I helped bring some of that rain back to our parched land.
Just about the cutest vanquisher I've seen - and he/she couldn't have picked a prettier spot to vanquish those he/she loves to chase.
Thx for sharing the beautiful Pacific Ocean with us & yes! for the rain too!
