2023 is off to a great start, with snow in the higher elevations and mixed snow and rain in the lower. Even if it is horribly cold (by New Mexican standards, anyway), the moisture is always welcome.
I’m grateful for the clouds that accompany the precipitation as well. January and February tend to have really outstanding sunsets and it already appears this year will be no exception.
To be fair, Mother Nature started warming up for the new year before it ever got off the ground.
I took all three photos from exactly the same vantage point in the Sandia foothills, within Albuquerque’s Open Space.
On another note, I mentioned a couple of months ago that I’d begun exploring AI (Artificial Intelligence) image generation. My fascination hasn’t abated; in fact, rapid improvements in the technology have only intensified my interest. All the new images I’ve created with AI needed somewhere to live so I built a new website, AI Art Journey. I’ll continue to add new images to it in the coming weeks and months.
Take a look if you have a few spare moments and let me know what you think.
Love the deeply colorful butterfly & your Sandia pics are gorgeous!
The rainbow butterfly and the thunderstorm in AI Art Journey pages particularly, caught my eye!
And the Everyday Magic page for Jan 4, 2023 has spectacular photos. The sunsets blow me away when looking from Placitas and the Sandia right now are breathtaking with snow covered peaks and cloud filled canyons. Thanks, Lisa! Judith
