It’s been an unusually cold and cloudy winter and, while I’m grateful for the accompanying moisture, I’m also ready for some green in the world. I wouldn’t turn down bright colors either. So it’s probably not coincidental that I began planning another northern California trip a few weeks ago. Nor is it likely a coincidence that I decided to glance at a few of last year’s photos.
Such as the colorful rhododendron blossoms above, as well as the lush green bracken fern and redwood sorrel below, both in the redwoods.
Not to mention a blast of bright color from California poppies and a single daisy near Eureka …
… and the beautiful blue sky behind the cow parsnip in Trinidad.
Ahhhh … ! I feel much better now — and hope you do too.
Yes, definitely feeling better. And more Spring-y. Thanks. Is the cow parsnip ever called Queen Anne's Lace? My Mom always kept clippers in the car and would pull over to cut it roadside!
How I love those poppies & the lushes green!!!
